[3.7/5.0] Seongbukdong House, a Popular Handmade Noodle Restaurant - Restroom Review

I visited Seongbukdong House, a restaurant known for its handmade noodles.

The broth, which has a rich beef bone soup base like seolleongtang, is delicious. Whenever I crave for kalguksu (handmade noodles) and want to eat something hearty, I come here.

As time goes by, the broth seems to become lighter, but it still tastes great. The side dishes, such as kimchi and kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), are also delicious.

After enjoying the meal, let's check out the restroom.

How is the restroom at Seongbukdong House?

INFO

Located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the establishment.

Toilet paper available | Unlocked | Gender-neutral

Atmosphere

The restroom has a homey feel to it. However, the black-painted door and shelves give it a more commercial vibe. I suspect that someone with a sense of aesthetics, either the owner's family or someone in the vicinity, painted it.

Accessibility

Once you enter the restaurant, the restroom is visible right away, next to the cashier. It's easy to find. If the restroom is not clearly visible, people usually ask at the cashier, and that's when they discover its location.

Size

It is a gender-neutral single restroom on each floor. Considering the peak hours, it may seem a bit small. When I went, there was already someone in front of me (who even forgot to flush... really, why do I need to know about your health condition?)

Cleanliness

Despite the limited space and no separate ventilation, there was no noticeable odor. It implies regular maintenance. However, due to the dated interior and the unhygienic feeling caused by water stains, it's inevitable.

Convenience

There is a mirror, sink, and a set of hand soap, liquid soap, and foam soap. There is also a bidet. Restaurant restrooms with single stalls often provide bidets. Hand towels are available too. Everything you need is there.

Funny thing is, the distance between the toilet and the trash bin is quite far. It's as distant as the hearts of lovers going through a rough patch. Moreover, it operates by stepping on it, so unless you have the height of Choi Hong-man, you have to lift your butt off the toilet to dispose of the tissue.

Improvement is needed for user-friendliness.
